Clayton College Reviews

by Dr. Vince Scaglione on May.22, 2010, under Medicine

I spent the last 3 years and hundreds of hours evaluating the Natural Healing College and multiple other degree online programs and here are my review results.

Clayton College of Natural Health

Global College of Natural Medicine or GCNM

The Natural Healing College

Clayton College ” Is a School Of Naturopathy that various holistic courses, but from my understanding they require you to mail in your tests, which can be quite time consuming because you will have to wait for them to mail your tests results back….Their Holistic Health Practitioner courses are also quite expensive…they also do NOT help you get a job and have no internship program

Global College of Holistic Medicine – They offer a medium range of holistic courses, but from my understanding, they require you to mail in your tests, which can be quite time consuming because you will have to wait for them to mail your tests results back….Also the so called Bachelors Degrees tuition will cost you a lot of money…. GCNM will NOT help you get a job after you graduate and do not offer an internship program

The Natural Healing College – Offer a very profound range of holistic courses, but they DO NOT force you to mail in your tests. Your tests results are instant which means you can finish your online degree faster!

The Natural Healing College courses are also about 1/2 the price of Clayton State University & the other distant education schools…in addition, their courses are probably the best on the planet and they give you everything you need to get started… they are also working with the Council for Higher Education Accreditation

After your Graduation from the Natural Healing College they will help you establish a valuable Internship and will assist you in landing you employment or establishing your own practice in Traditional Naturopath

This article is only my opinion from my many hours of researchTo me your best choice for a School Of Naturopathy is the Natural Healing College. Not Clayton State University. They seem too far behind with technologies.

Become a Master Herbalist, or Holistic Health Practitioner Study from home at a Low Cost visit The Natural Healing College.

Tools Guaranteed To Help You Quit Smoking

by Camron Avery on May.22, 2010, under Medicine

Are you as smoker? If you are, do you want to be? Smoking is an undesirable habit, one that many people see as being vile and disgusting. So where do you stand on the topic? Whatever your reason for wanting to quit, whether you are quitting temporarily or for good, quitting is not easy when it comes to an addictive substance like tobacco. This is why there are many tools for quitting smoking.

Tools for quitting smoking include products, tactics and lifestyle changes. All of these can be combined to make the task of quitting much easier.

However you plan to quit, it would be a good idea to start by weaning yourself off of tobacco before you decide to quit cold turkey. Remember, the nicotine in tobacco products makes it a very addictive substance. So depending on how reliant you are to the substance, simply stopping immediately and altogether could be painful and potentially detrimental to your health. If you are a heavy smoker, try slowly reducing the amount you smoke per day in order to avoid serious withdrawal symptoms when the time comes to stop. If you smoke a pack or less per day, you are probably ready to start using some of the following tools for quitting smoking.

The most common tool for quitting is nicotine gum. Nicotine gum contains trace amounts of nicotine used to suppress the withdrawal symptoms you feel when you quit smoking. The nicotine is released when you chew the gum. Nicotine gum has a rather unpleasant taste. It is, however, very convenient and it can be chewed anywhere unlike smoking a cigarette.

Another product that acts to supplement nicotine to prevent withdrawal symptoms is the e cigarette. Like the gum, it slowly releases small amounts of nicotine into your system. You inhale from this device just like a cigarette and it emits a harmless nicotine containing vapor.

There are tools for quitting smoking that have nothing to do with supplementing the nicotine of the cigarette with another nicotine product. There are also behavioral changes you can make to help you stop smoking. Most smokers will tell you that part of their addiction is to the act of smoking itself. The act of smoking is easily substituted with other acts. So if you find yourself craving a cigarette, you should try eating or chewing something like fruit, gum or candy. This will allow your mind to concentrate on the act of chewing rather than concentrating on the desire for a cigarette.

Hobbies are also a good way of keeping your mind off of smoking. If you find you can focus on something else, you should be able to keep your mind off of smoking. Simple hobbies like knitting or starting a collection can be quite soothing. Other, more extreme hobbies like rock climbing can give you an adrenaline rush. Whatever you decide to do, anything is better than nothing when you are trying to quit.

There are many ways to quit smoking. But remember, quitting smoking will be the hardest thing you ever do. If you are serious, it will take strict determination and the above tools will really help you.

What To Look For When Choosing Doctors

by Adriana Noton on May.18, 2010, under Medicine

You wouldn’t just let anyone do certain things for you. Therefore, you shouldn’t let anyone be your doctor of choice. When it comes to doctors, you need to be careful in choosing. You really shouldn’t pick the first one. We have a few suggestions that one should keep in mind so that you can get great results from the one that you choose. When it comes to your health, you don’t just want to pick the first doctor you come across.

Th first thing to remember is distance. Some of them if you show up late, they will make you wait if you are more than ten minutes late. So, the nearer the doctor is to you, the better it is. Many times people drive all over town. It’s crazy, but they still do it. Yet, there are more things than just distance that you should look for.

You should know their qualifications. This means what school did they graduate from. How long have they been practicing? These are some good questions to ask. You normally don’t want a doctor that is fresh out of medical school. You want someone who has been around the block, but still, it doesn’t stop there as to what you should look for in a doctor.

Bedside manners are always important as well. There are those that are just rude. How many times have you gone to one and found them to be just them rude? It might happen more times then one likes to admit. That is why you should interview them when you look for a new one for whatever reason you are doing so.

Just another thing would be if they accept your insurance. Some only accept certain kinds. This could be a problem. If they don’t accept your insurance you then to find how much you are paying for the office call and so forth. This is what you are trying to avoid after all. Normally, you just have to call their office and ask this. Many people start here.

Another thing that you need to consider is how long they have been in practice. Some of them haven’t been out that long and so they might not know certain things. You might need an experienced doctor if you have certain conditions. They will know if they can handle your case. You will know too. Go with your gut instincts.

Last of all, you want to know what others think. Ask your friends for recommendations. Talk to clients. Whatever you do, make sure that you get more than just their references. You want to know the good, the bad, and the ugly about every doctor that you are considering. So, remember that when you are looking for a new doctor.

When you look into these things you are sure to get the service that you need. Healthy lives aren’t something to just let anyone take care of. You want a doctor who knows what he or she is doing. Here are the ways to help you find the good ones that many question if they exist. They do exist you just have to know what you need to look for.

When an individual is ill and in need of a remedy they should go and consult a physician. There are many different types of doctors or specialists who each focus in a specific field of medical practice such as paediatrics, or family practice.
